After completing the Residency in Aerospace Medicine, RAMs fill various operational and hospital billets.

Senior Flight Surgeon

Senior flight surgeon billets are filled by both senior flight surgeons as well as RAM graduates.

Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) Dayton

NAMRU-Dayton is a unique research facility where RAMs may go for a tour.

Marine Air Group (MAG) Surgeon

Marine squadrons fall under a Marine Air Group, and a RAM graduate is generally the medical officer assigned at the group level.

Carrier Senior Medical Officer (SMO)

A quasi-milestone billet for senior RAM graduates.  There are only 12 at any given movement!

Director of Public Health (DPH)

Aerospace medicine is a component of the American Board of Preventive Medicine.  As such, RAM graduates are fully qualified to perform the role of Director of Public Health.
