FAA Medical Examiner Course

Overview

Residents may become FAA-designated aviation medical examiners (AME) by enrolling in an on-site course in conjunction with USNAC.  All residents will attend the FAA course as a foundational learning experience for applying civilian aeromedical standards. The 2-day course will be conducted by the education division of the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute and will consist of 14 hours of AME-specific topics.
